I'm attempting to split clip at markers. For some reason, even though I made 20 markers, the clip only splits into 12 at a time. I have to select the previous clip (last split clip), go forward and select the unsplit region again, then hit "split at markers" again in order for another 12 clips to be made. In this gif, you can see the issue. I'll assume I'm at fault. What am I doing wrong?

Hi, I've recently bought an Audiobox iTwo Studio and am really enjoying leaing how to use Studio One 3 (I'm pretty much a complete begier with recording, but particularly digital recording). I have a some old cassette tapes and minidiscs with song ideas on them that I'd like to retu to in the future (just for the ideas rather than using the actual recordings themselves) - some are just basic mono recordings but some are stereo (mixed down from a Tascam 414 Portastudio). I'd like to archive these digitally on my laptop to make them easier to sort through and so that I can get rid of the tapes/minidiscs, and was wondering if it's possible to hook up a Walkman cassette player or portable minidisc player to my Audiobox iTwo? If so, what would be the best way to do this, and what type of cable would be needed in order to preserve the stereo tracks? Thanks very much for your help.

Something strange has started to happen with the Main volume fader in Studio One. If I lower the main fader it resets itself to +0,5 dB everything between 5-60sec. This odd behavior started out of nowhere a couple of days ago. This go with every single song I open and even if I start a new song from scratch. What’s happening?

I accidently downloaded the wrong Universal Surface app which I need for recording with a Mac through my S192. I downloaded Universal Surface AI which is for mobile device recording instead of your Universal Surface for Mac. I use Studio One v.3.2.5 Pro.

My antivirus software identified the trojan: Win32/Filecoder.Cerber downloaded with the latest Studio 1 V3 software update.

Having some issues with Qmix. After setting up permissions on the StudioLive 16 series III to allow access for band using Qmix. We decided to test it without the band being around. With some excitement we were in another room and decided to play around with it. The Aux chael we were playing with went to full volume and the foldback started feeding back.

It seems the initial touch of the "Me" wheel or in the other mode too seems to make that Aux go full volume. This would be really bad if someone had an IEM on. The demo mode works ok.

After the initial touch it seems to be ok. Are we doing something wrong? All firmware on console up to date. Qmix (iOS), UC Surface( iOS) all up to date.

Any info helpful as the Qmix feature is an awesome one. It just seemed unreliable and could damage someones hearing.

The manual say:

The FireStudio Project’s Device window allows you to create five stereo monitor mixes. The mixes can be

renamed and saved. You can also rename your inputs and playback streams.

I can't seem to rename.

How do I get back to a situation that I can decide what to send to Line Outputs 1-4?

I was using Studio One, and have two stereo signals routed to Outputs 1,2 and 3,4 via Two Stereo Sends. It worked.

After trying out Speaker Management, I can't make it work again. The send receive sound but don't seem to send it to the speakers.

Coming from Sonar, that was useful to select more than one audio file at once and be able to previews them before to past them in the track.
For example, if we've got 10 audio files (1 - drump, 2 -guittar ..Etc) if i select 1, 2 i should be able to hear both in the same tempo, in same time (like in Sonar).

Should be great.

We've recently purchased a StudioLive 16.4.2 AI mixdesk.

We've managed to create a Scene after changing the chael names etc and setting them as required..

Unfortunatley, when loading back the preset, the Name is Off by default and is not loaded.

Also, the settings are not being stored after the 3 seconds noted in the manual.

Can you help please?

Is there a way I could save the state/workspace of Studio One 3 the way I configured it so every time I open SO3 it will have that workspace loaded? I'm not sure if "workspace" is the proper term here, so let me explain what I mean by that. For example, whenever I start SO3 I want to have the Mixer, the Track List, the Inspector, the Macro Toolbar, the Info View and the Record Panel opened and also the Browser set to "Instruments" tab. Is it possible?

I am trying to get a stereo mix in band member iem. when I solo the mix its just in mono, I have linked both chael 10&11 together and paed some chaels to the left and to the right but they still come out both chaels. not sure what I am doing wrong.

Does anyone know of a good sound library with renaissance instrument sounds that is compatible with Notion 6? I'm particularly interested in recorder sounds and perhaps lute and coetto but would love to find a library that included some of the more esoteric instruments such as hurdy-gurdy, shawm, rackett, sacbut, crumho, etc.

High Sierra does note seem to like my Studio 192.

Anyone else have issues with those two?

1) The on light stays red

2) I've tried with three different systems, same thing.

3) Driver 1.8 and UC 2.5.1

4) Also tried an EL Capitan system that was working great and it stopped working the moment I updated to High Sierra.

It would be of immense help to a lot of users, if Notion could automatically detect chords from the notations manually entered in for all the instruments.

Usually, I arrange for string quartet and choir. I find it easier to manually compose and enter the notes for each part in Notion. Then later, to compose Piano accompaniment, I need the chords that would fit the notes present for all the part

In other software like Notation Composer, there is an option to automatically detect chords based on the notes present in each part. I think it would be extremely helpful if Notion could have this feature and it simplifies workflow for a lot of users like me

I have 4 presence insnruments in my project. All instruments use Presence XT Libraries. 4-th or 5-th instrument uploaded the samples, but it isn't working. The S1 busy with endless process. Is this normaly?

Hello! All help is appreciated! A month of off and on attempts to get this going. I launch EZ Drummer stand alone and the drums *immediately* begin working. Fantastic. Check. I open the Studio One 3, click Options -> Exteal Devices -> Add. I select New Instrument, pick the MIDI device that my drums are routed through. So far so good. This matches up with others I've seen doing the same thing. I then click File -> New Song -> Empty Song. I then drag over the EZ Drummer VST as a new instrument track and attempt to set the MIDI input. This is where it goes wrong. When using an "Instrument" as an "Exteal Device", I get no Input as expected. Therefor MIDI is not routed through to the VST and nothing works. A reminder this DOES work in EZ Drummer stand-alone AND the MIDI Monitor is capturing the correct midi notes. So the problems seems to lie in the "Instrument" as an "Exteal Device". Note that doing this the alteative way also shows NO Input device If I choose "New Keyboard" as an Exteal Device, the Inputs show up correctly, but obviously don't work. Can I add 4 exteal effect processor at the same time on a Presonus StudioLive 32 Series III

It wouold be great if there was an ability to add notes (memos) to different sections of the software like for each track/bus. I keep a notepad, however it would be better if the notes(memos) lived with the file so when opening up, you can see a little yellow (or other custom color) sticky note type thing in different spots...would be even cooler if this was something that was somewhat adaptable.... as though you physically stuck a note (would shrink small until clicked or mouse over) on the mixer board or other places (effects/plugins/ whatever else).this would be handy for :when song writing, I generally make a ton of tracks with different riffs and ideas.when editing and passing the file along to a collaboratorkeeping context to your ideas (placed on the fx or chael... paing knob.. the more flexible, the more useful it can be)hope this all makes senseThanks!

is there any user-friendly way to improve the default performance of a music sheet in Notion? (without editing each single note’s parameters). So far, I wrote a piano score, and export the resulting MP3 file. The quality is that of an improved midi file, but it still feels very much « computer generated ». Is there any Notion plugin that would help me do this job? Is there any built-in feature which I don’t know about? Should I export my work (in .mid) and use another tool to do so?

Tracks that are hidden in the track list should be not be shown on the Faderport 8 by default. Yes I know there is a work around as shown in this video:

But once I do this I loose access to the main Audio/VI/VCA show/hide keys. On a Faderport 8 I find myself using these keys to flip between audio tracks and VCAs a lot. This means I have to tu off the hide option, select whatever I'm doing, then go back and rehide the hidden tracks.

There should be an option to always do this - I can't think of a time when I'd ever want hidden tracks showing in the mixer - and it should be default, because well I have them hidden for a reason, I don't need to see them, but I'm not ready to delete them permanently

My opinion, but I think Notion has missed the boat as far as being a friendly composer's space with tools that aid in composition. True, it's much better than a score pad, but come on, this is a computer we're using, and music is math! How about some idea generation tools, harmonization tools, music generation algorithms, this is a new century! Or maybe just start with identification of selected/played/notated notes or chords? Incorporate some tools like Mapping Total Harmony Pro, Songworks, or Harmony Navigator! Progression generators that recognize scale and suggest chords... The ability to split a chord across any number of voices...There are so many possibilities.These are all things that are missing from Notion and the competition, and would, in my view, be valuable for any composer or student of music.

I'm so disappointed! I was looking to Studio One to replace Sonar Platinum. But, as a professional musician, I need all the tools to make my workflow complete and that includes a Notation editor. Please consider adding a basic functional notation editor.

I just installed the 30 day demo today, but will not purchase Studio One without a notation editor.

Several times our RM32AI mixers have lost the cascade function. It may have something to do with the first mixers network card I don't know. But we will going along just fine and then the Main unit gets lost, like it just took a vacation and does not want to talk to the networked devices (CS18, UC Surface, Qmix-UC) The CS18 drops to No coection at all, The first mixer will not show on Qmix or UC surface it starts at what should be ch33.

Is there a way to force the mixer to reset its network coection without power down? I know it needs to be tued on first in normal startup. But if I am in the middle of event and someone is talking I caot reboot without the 1812 Overture sound alike happening.

I've created a 4:4 1 bar in S1 featuring some 'complex' tuplets.

Notion is not able to understand them . I wonder whether this is a bug or it's just a limitation of the Notion software.

I tried to import the midi file in a different notation software and it is fully understood as it should.
